I know lots of parents are probably thinking this very question when they come across my services online or through a referral. Maybe your child doesn’t sleep too well. And yes, you would like it to be better. Or you might even be on the end of the spectrum where you’re pulling your hair out wondering how you’re going to make it through another day if you can’t get a decent amount of sleep when your little one is up half the night.
But still the question remains… why hire a consultant?
I speak with a lot of moms through my free evaluation calls who afterwards become really motivated to find a solution on their own and sometimes they are successful. When that happens, I am truly happy for them! The bottom line is that I want other moms to find a way to get the sleep they (and their children) need in a way that works for them, whether that involves working with me or not.
But for those who have been battling on their own and still need a helping hand, I like to compare what I do to working with a personal trainer. Most of us know how to exercise in general and can easily go do some form of it on our own. But if we are honest with ourselves, we may not see amazing results if we are just spending half an hour on the elliptical a few days a week. We also might not be as inclined to go even for that half hour if we aren’t accountable to someone who really wants to see us succeed and expects us to show up at 5:30pm on a Tuesday (even though we really just want to hit the couch).
Just as you would expect when working out with a trainer, your results will be more efficient and more targeted to your needs when a professional can tell you exactly what to do to at the gym to meet your goals. If you know you need support and accountability to help keep you committed to positive change, the trainer will be the one to help you with it.
And working with me as a sleep consultant will be the same. Do any of these sound familiar?
- Are you frustrated and just don’t know where to start?
- Have you read book after book and nothing seemed to work?
- Have you tried all your friends’ advice, but it didn’t do the trick?
- Are you about to give up and accept sleeplessness as a way of life?
- Do you feel like the burden of sleep deprivation is growing and growing and no one cares or understands your struggle?
This is where I come in. I will give you the customized tools and steps you need to help your child learn how to sleep happily through the night once and for all and I will also be your support system and cheerleader throughout the process. Just like starting a new exercise plan, there is definitely some hard work involved and the first step is always the hardest.
But the good news is that you don’t have to do this alone! My clients often tell me that my support and guidance has made all the difference in getting them to success. Schedule your free sleep evaluation call now to learn more. I can’t wait to help you and your child start getting the sleep you deserve! If you're ready to make the change, I'm ready to help you do it.
